Inspired by our encounters with dyslexic children, when we are doing our research, this book is a dedication to them, their teachers, and their parents. It is based on the KSSR syllabus for Dunia Sains & Teknologi (Level 1 -Standard 1, 2, and 3) and is presented in seven chapters (each according to the objectives set out in the syllabus). Each chapter has Lembaran Maklumat and Lembaran Kerja, which are presented in a minimalist fashion, with more graphics and less text. This is especially crucial for dyslexics to enhance their learning the subject matter.
Written in Malay, this book is trying to highlight the role of speech recognition technology in helping dyslexic children to read better. Although promising, this technology is yet to establish its ground for Malay language covering children's speech. This book is targeting readers who would want to understand more on speech recognition and how it is related to dyslexia and Malay language. Information on dyslexia and the challenges is also covered for teachers and parents.
